EA isn’t here to make games. EA is here to make money.
EA isn’t here to make games. EA is here to make money.
The backlash is completely understandable
EA is trying to brand themselves as a customers first company. “We hear you, we messed up, here’s what we’re going to do the rectify the situation.”
Given their cut to ribbons gameplay trailer that did its best to show us absolutely nothing, and that they didn’t really reveal any information we didn’t know a year ago....I’m not holding out hope for that.
According to the conversation above you, it sounds like you actually should be grouping with people to play :/
The worst part is that we know virtually nothing more now about the game than we did a year ago...and the game is supposed to be out in less than a year. The gameplay video was super shallow and cut to ribbons so as not to show us anything. It doesn’t really bode well.
I play destiny, but destiny is too shallow as it is. i was hoping anthem would go deeper into loot and skill trees, as Destiny is just too basic. The showed nothing of skill trees or loot drops. Im afraid they are trying to make it way too easy to pick up and play, rather than spending months leveling and fine tuning…
I perked up when I heard that bit, too, but everything else they’ve put out makes it sound very much like you can’t play this without other people—at least, not if you want to have a good time. No matter what, it isn’t going to be like playing a singleplayer BioWare RPG, at least not going by everything I’ve read.
Thanks for this and, yeah, that Javelin question popped to my mind as I watching the presentation. And while I completely agree with you about it being the Bioware wants to make, I also feel this sounds like a major bummer as I don’t particularly enjoy forced co-op games. It’s also weird that for them to seeminly…
Yah... Like, I’ve never had that many ‘gaming friends’, and I honestly don’t have much of a desire to make any, either? I like playing games alone; that’s why I’ve been a BioWare fan since I was, like, nine.
Heh, Bioware assuming I’ve got friends-Hey let me finish! Friends who play the same games as I do and specially at the same time I do.
Everything I know is barely anything, other than they found a way to make a worse co-op trailer than Ubisoft.
The hell? Only idiots blamed one developer. As far as I can tell, pretty much everybody was blaming EVERYBODY over at EA and Bioware because they somehow managed to fuck all the fun out of the Mass Effect IP while producing a game that was meant to set up an entire new lineage of Mass Effect titles. They deserve to be…
that square enix one hit me in the feels.
we need more Tactics, Tactics ogre, and Ramza in the world.
Let’s face it this movie was going to be underwhelming from the start. Even with the whitewashing and the movie’s Sisyphean effort to try and handwave it away with “She’s Japanese but she’s in a white person’s body.” that still comes off as offensive, it’s a generic revenge story that plays like GitS’ greatest hits…
Many people here are asking “How can you boycott something you already paid for”. To answer this question you first need to understand how this all works.
They’re not free games, they’re rentals. Yes, you need PS+ to play online, but no matter what, they’re not your games to keep. You cancel at any time, you lose all access to them.
Co-op was alright. Trailers made it look a lot more fun than it actually was.
It seems like it’d be fun for co-op, but I found the single player controls kind of annoying.
