Actually, that info is incorrect. You missed out a word in the last sentence, which should read: Buy whichever new non-Apple product you wish.

I like these changes for this sole reason:

I hope *you're* not using improper grammar.

Just slightly ahead of time, are we then?

I showed my Dad at work how to use it. He wrote it down, then proceeded to completely forget it and go back to his old, slow ways. *sigh*

I so wish I could show this to my parents and they would start to use things like this, but they would never understand/regularly use it. LH, make this one of your "e-mailable tech support" articles, please, think of the time and effort you would save!

I know Launchy works a lot faster than Windows search, and it can also do things like open web pages, do basic maths (which I use a lot). It's also good for loading up commonly used programs that I don't want to pin to my taskbar/start menu as it remembers the most used results so to load MS Word, I hit Alt+Space to

Agreed - not many people will know about certain laws regarding the controlled woods and other materials, but that is their fault if they're trying to move it internationally. They need written proof that it can legally cross the border, the same way a prescription is needed.

Biggest is not best, by any stretch.

Firstly, I would like to say that I agree with your point....however:

An extra £21, just for the data. I also get 150 minutes (don't call much) and unlimited texts, and that's not much, but I can't remember how much exactly

Won't take long though

Just about to post that myself. BUY BUY BUY!

I would go with XBMC, but really, folders work perfectly for me. If folders aren't good enough, then XBMC.

The plan I'm on now, it's an extra £21 for 1GB/month. Could just be my plan, but from what I've heard that seems the case

"awhile"?

I use WakeupOnStandBy. I always hibernate my laptop, so it's good to go rather fast, but I still use WOSB to boot my laptop up just as my alarm clock goes.

Don't expect to get data cheap now. It's the same kind of fees as in the US now. I was on a grandfathered plan: £35/month, 600 minutes, 500 texts, unlimited internet with my new iPhone 3GS.

Exactly THIS! It's disgraceful that we get charged for something we can't stop happening anyway - the phone contacting the tower! So what if we want to write something in that 160 bytes? It's not making ANY difference, so why charge us? This is profiteering, pure and simple.

Why is this even a possibility? What's wrong with the way we obtain software, like we have done for years?
