The NFL rules regarding a completed pass are archaic and obtuse. Even after reading all the verbiage it is clear to me Dez Bryant's play should have been ruled a completed pass and then a fumble.

They were improved without him last year as well.

Josh Smith is vastly underrated. Everywhere he goes his team wins. As soon as he leaves.

James Johnson—a universe of ability and skill. He seems to be maturing this time around, let's see how far he takes it.

Let me rank the three coaching candidates The Bears Way (tm):

LOL! Hey, I know that Cleveland will be desperate for a replacement and that Brooklyn is also desperate to get rid of Lopez, Williams, Johnson or all three. Crazier things have happened.

Dion Waiters to Brooklyn for Jarret Jack and Brook Lopez?

Hey! Hey! Hey! Back up off Leela. Just ... just back up! You might get a dagger in your neck!

I guess it's similar to how parents insist on supporting their children no matter how many laws they've broken. Some people insist on seeing the positive. I get it. Although at this point defending Cutler is irrelevant. The whole organization is wholly inept.

I'll give him a pass. Even before reading his twitter defense it's clear to me that he expected Ellis to provide back-side help. People need to understand that many times what looks like spontaneous play is actually a set series of moves these guys practice over and over and over. On his cut to the basket he knew

LOL!

This is coming from a man who has been removed from almost every single game he's played in due to concussion-like symptoms. In the medical parlance, I believe this is called brain damaged.

I kinda like Jay Cutler, but I have to admit that the success McCown had last year was a HUGE indictment of Cutler. I honestly thought they were going to let Cutler go in free agency based on the disparity in their performances. Not that McCown was the answer, but that Cutler didn't have much leverage for salary

Frankly, it doesn't matter. The season was over at the bye (3-5). After all the hits Cutler has taken in his 4 years here, I'm surprised the guy lasted this long.

This is tame for Giangreco. He regularly sits in with the ESPN AM1000 afternoon show (housed in the same building where they broadcast ABC7 new {Disney![synergy!]}) and boy does he ever reel-off some crazy inappropriate jokes. I find it hilarious, but also cringe-worthy. I'm always surprised to hear his voice again

NBA League Pass. Likely much cheaper in the long run and you get all the games. :)

I can see Randy Johnson getting elected this year. But none of the rest of those names. Most of the names don't communicate "Legendary"(tm). And then some of them are Tainted(tm) like Clemens, McGwire and Sosa. And then some were just assholes that the writers will be itching to ignore like Pedro Martinez.

*hand wavers over the eject buzzer*

Wasn't this kid all that and a bag of chips in his rookie season? And then he got hurt. And people wanted him to get well soon. Then he did and got hurt again, but stayed in the game for the good of the team. Now he's a bum all of a sudden?

Why? Why do you let a guy set himself up for a three point shot in that situation? He should have been fouled as soon as he put his hands on the ball—make him shoot two and get the ball back with a 1 point lead.
