Well, how best can a presidential candidate fight a good fight? By getting arrested for breaking the laws of the land, or by putting pressure on the situation through social networking, social pressure, and using the backroom connections that politicians already have in place?

“...while I admire her getting out there for what she believes in, I’m pretty sure she believes mostly in herself.”

Eh. Where was she a week ago when this wasn’t nearly as much in the public eye? Why did she graffiti “I approve this message” instead of, say, “get off sacred land”?

You say that like self-promotion is a bad thing...

I don’t know. I’ll be glad if it gets the cause more attention, but otherwise it feels like just more self-promotion for Stein.

I think so too. Having a hard time deciding between Hillary and Jill. It’s stuff like this that makes me think I should vote for Jill though.

Have to say: Pretty nice move by Stein there.

I think there can be significant overlap in that Venn diagram. It’s the area covering self-righteous anger at people not practicing veganism and classist ignorance about things like food deserts.

His twitter bio lists being vegan and then he goes on to talk about sentient beings. I have a feel that he was leaning less towards the white-apologist side and more towards to pretentious vegan side.

I mean if there’s flat earth stuff all over his facebook he’s definitely not too bright.

He actually seems sincere and maybe just a bit slow? Like, maybe he didn’t understand the racist undertones of the “all lives matter” crowd and their bullshit? I dunno, I’m usually all over this shit but I’m not getting the “white apologist asshole” vibe from this guy.

Agreed. It kind of ruined Claire’s character to have her be like “Welp, back to my 18th century Scottish lover, I know you’re dealing with the revelation of your paternity, the loss of your would-be father and probs need me, but so long kiddo! Kiss kiss!”

The book dealt with this much more delicately. Claire didn’t

Gabaldon addressed that on her FB page. Apparently the writers felt it would be too hard to film, some concerns about the fake blood getting on costumes during takes or something, so they went for the idiotic, totally meaningless amber exchange. Gabaldon didn’t like the change, but she’s said in the past that she bows

I agree with everything you said. And why didn’t we get to see more scenes of Frank and Bree? It would have made her distant relationship with Claire more believable.

Ok, this may be a small matter, in addition to your questions (which I had as well), why did Claire and Jamie not carve their initials in the other’s hands? Why was that left out? They refer to those scars often in the book.

In the book she changed her major from history to mechanical engineering after she discovered Frank wasn’t her father. My question is - why did they change her school to Harvard? Harvard in 1968 didn’t allow women in. Not until 1977 when it merged with Radcliffe women’s college was it officially co-ed.

It’ll be hashed out in the Season 3 epis. They were in London and heard of the funeral. The flashbacks of Frank helping raise Bree and the fact that he/Claire weren’t in love anymore, are all in the beginning of 3rd book. And she doesn't just peace out into the stones with a scarf on. Picking on little things like the

She did. She was a history major basically because she was such a daddy’s girl. After Claire goes back she can’t handle it emotionally anymore and switches to engineering.

In the books, Brianna starts in history “to please Frank” (quote Claire) and switches to engineering following his death.
