There's a big difference between being able to create clouds of smoke and being able to predictably toss a car around and feel what it's doing. The first time I drove a Miata, everything clicked in a way I'd never experienced before. And this was after more than a decade of Porsche 924/944/914, BMW and Mk2 VW

"How fast is fast" is relative to how fast you can go. Cars feel most alive near their limits. That's where they reveal their personalities.

For how many years have I wanted a hard top Miata with a back seat for the kids?

How is a RWD car perceptibly different when driven like a normal person drives? Other than being less space and fuel efficient, I mean.

These problems happen every time. If you think Apple doesn't do the best pre-launch R&D and iron out problems better than anyone else...

My 4S's battery life is super inconsistent. I charge it every night, and days at this time, it's still got ~95% of its life and well over 50% when I go to bed. Today I'm already down to 61% and I've used it even less than normal. No changes in my usage patterns from day to day or any real explanation. I've had

I have done many tests and can confirm that they are fun in E28's, Miatae, E34's and E36's as well.

This would be irritatingly pompous and over-the-top if it were about classic 911's and famous Porsche racers.

Were it not for the maintenance requirements, there'd be one of those in my driveway. Too scary for me, though.

Actually, I kinda like the way that looks. :)

"So yes, the Lumia may not be a raw computing powerhouse, but if they've been able to tightly optimize their hardware around WP7 like Apple has done with their platform, those specs may not matter a whole lot."

Ah, yes, when I think of Microsoft, I think "seamless integration of all my devices and functional design."

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer a Cayman. However, I don't think we're looking at a particularly hot lap here. :)

News flash: cars that were fast 20 years ago are not fast now. That doesn't make them overestimated. A Porsche 944S2 or an E30 M3 or an UrQuattro are all slow today, but they were incredible when new. Kinda gotta judge things by the standard of their time.

That's funny, since while I wouldn't consider a Lightning or a Cobra, I'd still love an SVT Focus (or Contour). Maybe the best hot hatch of the time and it certainly handled better than either the Cobra or Lightning.

We've got stop-for-pedestrians-in-marked-crosswalks laws on the books and I regularly see drivers accelerate towards pedestrians to intimidate them. And it's pretty common to have cars honk at you when you're crossing legally, which oddly enough, is REALLY LOUD when it's coming from 2 feet behind you and you're not

I bet you got a great taste for what an NSX is capable of while you were parking it.

NP if you're looking for a syncro wagon.

I think you overestimate old people's understanding of computers. Most of them have no real sense for how the computer works. They are forced to memorize detailed steps of operations in order to achieve useful work. They know how to do things ONE way.

I would like more storage. Remember, you can back the phone up to iCloud entirely, including 1080p video you're shooting with the phone and any app data (which can be considerable if it's multimedia stuff). 5gb is *nothing* if you're using it for backups, especially if you're backing up more than one device to your
