Never ask yes/no questions. That's asking for lies.

This is the definition of "not at any price". Fabulous car, but absolutely not worth the pain. 20v Turbos are more fun anyway.

Any rubber case is going to provide plenty of protection for the glass back. What shatters gorilla and other super glass is a sharp point impact, which you prevent with practically any rubber coating. I won't try it, but I bet my iPhone 4 could take a 6' tumble onto concrete just fine as long as it landed case side

To be fair, the 3G was fantastic. My wife's was left on the roof of a car, fell off onto the side of I-94 at 80 mph, was lost for a week and rained on, then recovered by the road commission folks and returned to us fully functional, if slightly scarred up.

An extra reader is good backup, though. Occasionally you'll run into PDFs that the iPhone (and OS X Preview) have trouble rendering for whatever reason. I keep Acrobat around for those, just in case.

This. The only people who would dump one for the other in this price range are probably just rich kids who want bragging rights.

I've always disliked Hamilton, but it's still been a little painful to watch him this season. I feel for him, because it sucks to go from next-big-thing to merely really good. Back in '08, no one would have been surprised to see him become one of the greats, but it's clear at this point that it probably won't

E36 m3. A1 GTI. Any awd tubo dsm.

Keep that thing looking as-is. That patina makes it 10x cooler.

It's also possible that the dull knife statistic is just BS. I've never seen the source for that. What, are nurses following people home after stitching them up and grading the sharpness of the knife used in the accident? :)

Come on! For thirty-seven thousand, leather is extra?

Every new car introduction since the E36 has pissed off BMW fans.

And has a 4-banger that puts out almost as much torque as the E34's V8 in a package that weighs probably 300lbs less. :)

This. Also, the Apple Stores provide snacks.

What's the failure mode on those wheels, anyway? A nice slow, visible plastic deformation I assume? :)

I suspect most serious podcast listeners are off of iTunes and on to a dedicated podcaster, in which case, yeah, big PITA.

What does OS X do to force checks on software? What can't run under OS X? In what way is the operating system less development friendly?

An iPhone 4 is going to be good for a couple more years. A 3GS is still supported and runs fine on iOS 5. That's quite the feat, given how fast the OS has advanced and how quickly the technology has moved ahead. I can't think of any other hardware manufacturer who does backwards compatibility like Apple does.

Do you work in industry? Most industry doesn't see it as ferocious so much as arbitrary and capricious. If everyone plays by the same rules, and is *held* to those rules, and those rules are applied consistently and predictably, it's not a problem.

I like your atitude! Rather than doing a lot of harm to one person, you're spreading the harm out so that everyone suffers a little tiny bit. Brillant!
