The problem is the general public (and most of the high-profile of the proponents) don't REALLY believe it. Honestly, you can't say "This is the most dire crisis facing the Earth today" while flying around the world generating CO2 or living in a house that uses 10x the electricity of a normal house (Al Gore).

You

Of course weather is climate.... A climate is a collection of weather over time. Sure, you could say "Climate isn't weather" in the same way you can say "A carton of eggs isn't eggs" and be technically correct, but people would think you're a putz.

Phoenix, AZ

3 bed, 2 bath house with a garage and pool

$1015/month after taxes.

This isn't new, either. Game development is something you get into because you love games, not because you want a cushy or stable job. Game devs have always been the red-headed step children of the software development industry. It's sad that these people had to learn this the hard way, but it has ALWAYS been this

I think you underestimate the importance of one-touch pizza delivery!

But she's selling her rights to her body... It's no longer her body once she 'lets out a room'. At least in the California, the intended parents' rights supersede the surrogates in the case of abortion. If they say abort, she aborts or gets sued (or gets stuck with the child in this case). It's part of the contract

At the 'densities' we're talking about here, there's no reason to believe it would be noticed. I can drive around all day and I see cop cars at the convenience stores and near police stations. Outside of those places, I will see one maybe once every couple of days. Seeing one once or twice a day isn't going to make

The restaurants ARE paying the wait staff what they're worth. If they were actually worth more, they could get paid more somewhere else. That's economics, son.

The link said 'voluntary' idle time.... I don't voluntarily wait at red lights. I do it because mean men in blue suits will beat me with wooden sticks and electrocute me within an inch of my life if I drive how I really want to.

16 minutes of voluntary idling per day? I have a really hard time believing this. I get in my car and am moving within seconds of starting the engine. When I get to my destination, I'm out of the car within seconds of it stop moving. Who has time to sit in their car for 15 minutes a day??? Shouldn't we be talking

If you don't have kids, what do you do with all of the extra money and free time? You don't have to clean messes, change diapers, go to soccer practice or parent teacher conferences. You don't have the schools and sports teams shaking you down for cash every few minutes or have to spend hundreds of dollars a year

For the love of everything juicy and tender, don't use cook your chicken to 165! It is safe and nummy at 145. It is dry and stringy at 165. Might as well be chicken jerky!

Nothing is wasted. The tree is turned into wood chips that can be used as mulch or composted down into fertilizer. Also, how would converting it to fuel for a wood stove help with global warming? That's literally converting the tree into CO2 and heat!
