The more I look at it the more frustrated I get. Motown was a black owned label in a predominantly black town with almost exclusively black artists. Having your "Motown inspired" take on a white artist's song be a bland white dude and almost all white band sing poorly with two black backup singers is a pretty crappy

This is actually one of the few Postmodern Jukebox covers that I don't prefer to the original. Part of it's the guy singing— I'd probably like it a lot better if it was one of their usual women singing (or Puddles the Clown). Also, this is a song that clearly needs tambourine, and instead of the delightful Tambourine

Let me see if I understand this. This writer is ostensibly trying to present her positively, yet describes her as "earnest as quinoa?" I get that the writer is probably trying to be clever, but "earnest as quinoa?" Earnest as quinoa. That phrase is going to rattle around in my brain for at least the next for

This is Social Media 101. If you're going to blow someone off, keep quiet on social media for the night. What a fucking moron.

Ha I just commented something similar. Not to mention that has to be the goddamn whitest "Motown" collaborative I've ever seen

Definitely would've liked to see Ashley Stroud (One of the backup singers) take a crack at this one.

I like how when he tries to hit the really high notes and go for a run, the backup singers look embarrassed for him.

The Swift original is awesome and fun; this cover is boring and not even a great interpretation of the Motown sound. Those (cool!) back-up singers were criminally underused in the Postmodern cover.

Also, I am deeply disappointed with the Internet and the a cappella community for failing to provide me with a Mariah

The production is an improvement yes, but this guy's voice is just as annoying as hers. I think someone with an aretha type voice could really make it shine.

So why does this happen so often? I don't doubt that this man is dealing with some sort of mental issue. But this very specific crime of hurting (or even killing) women because of rejection has been happening alarmingly often, so I think you'll find that it's a combination of our "rape culture" and "male

I didn't understand that sentence at all. Be more careful how, exactly? Grow eyes in the back of your skull?

Only a couple times in my life have I asked a woman who was otherwise a stranger for her number. My romantic/sexual encounters have exclusively come through meeting a friend of a friend, and something developing from there.

She dared to leave her house. She was obviously asking for it /s

That can happen to anybody, so you have to be more careful.

Default = White Male. Only change default settings in case of emergency! There's no REASON for anybody to be indian, female, or any of those other interchangeable "Ohh All Right We'll Issue A Token" diversity checkboxes that spoil alllll the fun.

"That show is awkward because there's actually no reason for that character to be Indian."

Holy shit, she's 33 years old?! Wow. She doesn't look a day over 2. Good for her.

Actor Adam Baldwin recently posted something to Twitter to the effect of "Show me proof that Obama doesn't want Ebola in America."

"reward her with praise"
