Nice article, I don't know why anyone would get a VoIP phone service when they have cable internet. There are so many alternatives out there that cost much less than what the Cable companies charge. @pvliii: Maybe I'm not using it right, the only reason you'd use it is to dial long distance, right? Otherwise you can just use your office phone to call. I have the number linked to my cell phone and I'm not getting calls to my cell phone number correctly, sometimes there's no option to leave a voicemail either.

Do we still need a Gizmo5 account to use full GV features? Currently GV's useless to me since it's only a replacement number and service is intermittent, at most.

@SQLGuru: Amazon's good too, but the only problem I see with eBay is that it's affected too much by supply-demand, especially in the holidays. So one would need to set a baseline sometime before the purchase and realize that pillowpets* do not cost 80$ usually.
