“It has been said on this very website that big, dominating infotainment screens are terrible, ugly and a pain in the ass. They effectively block your view and the design is usually lazy: stuck on top of everything like an afterthought”

Oh, like the one in the Miata

Are you guys purposefully avoiding the “story” that EA removed the refund button from their site forcing people to call in a deal with long hold times?

“So what’s the fun in platforming if there’s no penalty for falling?”

As a fellow Horizon fan...you crazy.

Damn, you must have had a shitty year if that’s all you think deserves being on a nomination list.

Both Odyssey and BotW are in the top 5 highest reviewed games of all time, but they don’t deserve a nod?

Jesus H. Christ, put your dick away, Harvey.

I keep asking this and still I have gotten no response. I am genuinely interested: which AAA game has gone full pay to win multiplayer like this?

Your BOTW example is a little off considering you can get the master sword earlier than 50 hours. And again on your Mario one the suit does not affect gameplay so i would consider both off.

Yeah. Cause comparing two singleplayer games to a multiplayer game makes sense.

FYI its about 40 hours of gameplay to unlock each character.

When they said DLC would be free, I knew there would be a catch... There’s always a catch.

If its locked, you can’t comment, but you can still downvote.

It’s silly to buy a Star Wars game to play as Star Wars characters?

Grinding for 40 hours just to play main characters that were free to use immediately in BF1...no biggie right? It’s not about ALL characters, it’s about ANY of them.

Except Overwatch skins are purely cosmetic, unlocking weapons and armor in MMOs isn’t typically also possible with real-world money, and gameplay in MMOs usually has enough variety to justify the time expense.

Except that this is gating entire characters, not skins. Imagine how pissed everyone would be if you had to play ~40 hours to gain enough credits to buy Mercy and other popular characters in Overwatch, all while Blizzard advertised in-game currency.

Skins in Overwatch are literally only cosmetic, though, i.e., they don’t give anyone any advantages, like collecting hats IRL.

Except OW doesn’t lock Tracer or Reaper behind a loot crate.
