From my (limited) experience Porsche clutches just sort of immediately engage and you have to use little to no gas to get them started. It’s really fucking weird but I love it. The clutches also seem to be really heavy but that’s mostly comparing the couple manual Porsches I’ve driven to my GTI which has a

Every dealership where I live is open on a Sunday. That’s valuable business they lose by not being open one of the two most likely days people are available to go car shopping. I guess things are different in Tennessee or something. I could at least drop my car off Sunday if the service dept is closed and they can

So Sundays? I think your life is worth one lost Sunday.

So your friend works 7 days a week 24 hours a day?

Yeah I’ve seen a couple floating around LA and they’re fucking gorgeous in the flesh. Just the right amount of style/bling while staying kind of understated. Perfect car for when you’re hitting your late 60s and you just wanna ride in comfort but still want style with it.

Yep, I agree the 993 C2S is probably my favorite 911 of all time (and the 997 GTS is a close 2nd for me). But I still love the shit out of a good 996 and part of that is because you can still drive the shit out of it daily without feeling like you’re ruining a “collector’s item”.

I grew up looking at 996s as the first 911s I really started “noticing” when I started loving cars, so I think they just hold a special place in my heart.

Turbo has a Mezger motor so no IMS issues.

All I care about with the interior is that it feels good to drive and the seats are comfortable. The 996 is fine in that regard. The dashboard is a little ugly and cheap, sure, but otherwise the gauge cluster looks good to me and steering wheel is fine (as is the stick). The early model 996 also didn’t come with

I’m just gonna come out and say it. I fucking love the 996. And I love the fried egg headlights (as long as you get rid of the amber shit). Fuck the haters.

I mean aren’t we just stunting natural selection by trying to stop kids from doing stupid shit like this?

My dad had a 1990 535i for 14 years. I still miss the purr of that inline 6 as he pulled out of the garage on his way to work every morning. It was a great car!

I mean that’s an absurd false equivalency so I’m not even going to address it.

Have you ever considered that if you’re prone to seizures there’s a good reason you could lose your license? And guess what, it’s probably not even for your own safety! it’s for the safety of that schoolbus full of kids you might plow into, or that family heading home from dinner.

He can afford a PC and a Vive though. And all the motion tracking hardware.

Am I the only one thinking this guy is a fucking moron for refusing to see a doctor? There is obviously something wrong with him.

If you use less than a gig of data per month then Project Fi is definitely a no-brainer. It is just a mix of T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular networks so pretty good coverage (though there are more dead zones in random areas than AT&T and Verizon, I’ve noticed).

You only use .7GB of data per month? Damn!

I made a case for a specific use scenario in which this car could work. I did not make a case for this vehicle working for the average person. I don’t really know what you are trying to argue with me about, since I fully agree that this car is not for the average American household.

I’m not trying to predict what that family of 4 WILL get. I’m making a case for how this car could be used by the family of 4.
