Yeah I’ve seen a couple floating around LA and they’re fucking gorgeous in the flesh. Just the right amount of style/bling while staying kind of understated. Perfect car for when you’re hitting your late 60s and you just wanna ride in comfort but still want style with it.

Yep, I agree the 993 C2S is probably my favorite 911 of all time (and the 997 GTS is a close 2nd for me). But I still love the shit out of a good 996 and part of that is because you can still drive the shit out of it daily without feeling like you’re ruining a “collector’s item”.

I grew up looking at 996s as the first 911s I really started “noticing” when I started loving cars, so I think they just hold a special place in my heart.

All I care about with the interior is that it feels good to drive and the seats are comfortable. The 996 is fine in that regard. My dad had a 1990 535i for 14 years. I still miss the purr of that inline 6 as he pulled out of the garage on his way to work every morning. It was a great car!

If you use less than a gig of data per month then Project Fi is definitely a no-brainer. It is just a mix of T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular networks so pretty good coverage (though there are more dead zones in random areas than AT&T and Verizon, I’ve noticed).

I made a case for a specific use scenario in which this car could work. I did not make a case for this vehicle working for the average person. I don’t really know what you are trying to argue with me about, since I fully agree that this car is not for the average American household.

I’m not trying to predict what that family of 4 WILL get. I’m making a case for how this car could be used by the family of 4.

For someone who has a short trip to work (5 or less miles each way) or frequents the grocery store, this car would work. If you have a long commute it’s not for you.

270 miles is fine and the short electric range should get most people to and from the grocery store (or a short work commute) gas-free. Not really sure what the problem is, as the bike won’t carry weekly groceries for a family of 4 and the subcompact won’t fit that family of 4 and their luggage for a short weekend…

If you don’t watch any form of TV or movies whatsoever why would you even bother commenting that you don’t know who these people are. Of course you don’t know who these people are, and this should not surprise you in any way.

Porsche really does know how to make an SUV feel as much like a Porsche as possible. My dad’s still got his 2004 Cayenne S and it still drives like a fucking dream. Of course his 991 C4S is more fun to drive but that Cayenne is a hell of a car.
