To be fair, it was originally going to be an RTS... also vanilla “humanity versus aliense” is generally safe ground for an RTS. Not everything has to be groundbreaking.

Performance wise on PC this game is solid, looks good and imho alot of fun to boot. I;m not sure if it’s because I have it installed on ssd or just the pc in general has the resources to overcome it, but I havn’t come across those long load times that I read alot about in the xbox1 review
