Full sized pickups. Whenever there is a long line of traffic backed up behind some putz in the left lane, invariably its a pickup. With all the wind a tire noise, they must think they are just flying at 65mph...you are not, move over. And I’m not just talking about the ones that take little Timmy to soccer practice,

Every time I go to Europe, I wind up in a cool VW van as a hotel shuttle or taxi. Check out the Transporter, California and Multivan. I’d rock a Caddy Cargo R or GTI if they made it. And when in the Caribbean, you invariably get shuttled around in a version of the HiAce, about the size of a modern US minivan but they

The Fiesta ST lapped that track in 1:51:2 at the hands of Randy Pobst. The Taycan was over 23 seconds faster. That’s just funny to me.

A Boeing spokesperson was quoted as saying “Its a freakin plane, it doesn’t need all those wheels, we’re trying to save some weight.”

I was welding in Crocs once when I learned that hot metal goes right through them. Not the holes, the actual material does nothing to stop it. Never again.

I want to say Chrysler PT, but as I look at photos to add (which you can’t do anymore on Jalopnik, is no one working on fixing the code?) I might be wrong. Is it the precursor to the Murano convertible, or a cheeky runabout?

The worst car ever created by mankind was a 1985 Buick Century, so they weren’t all winners. Yugo’s ads from the day simply said “Hey, its not a Buick Century”. In 1986, the Geneva Convention was amended to include driving a Buick Century as torture. The car was never crash tested because they kept breaking down

Too bad there isn’t a Darwin Awards Museum where we could put this.

The Government orchestrated Jan 6th? Man, they are on a roll! After figuring out microscopic tracking chips that they implanted in everyone via the COVID 19 thing they created, I was wondering what they would do next. Now they are controlling social media and the minds of old white men to do their bidding! With Trump

I recently acquired a GM-era Saab and an truly impressed at how awesome it is. The Swedish design and engineering is combined with GM reliability and parts prices make it cheap to keep running even North of 180,000 miles.

Where I live, rust is almost more important than if the engine dies. Routine maintenance and oil changes will keep a basic engine running for a long time, but a rusted frame or unibody is death for a car. I have never had a car mechanically fail on me, only rust out. So I would look for something mechanically simple

Idiots make up a bunch of crap to try and skirt the law and NEVER get away with it. Its the overwhelming evidence that it doesn’t work that amazes me, they just keep trying. Its literally the definition of insanity.

Did you miss the Elantra N? Affordable, practical, and amazing driving dynamics on the street or track, with a 6-speed or advanced DCT, all for $35K. Its the cure for CUV/SUV/EV malaise.

Ah yes, San Francisco. The last time I was there, I street parked between a P1 and a 2CV.

This is another great example of keyboard warriors loudly exclaiming the need for a manual transmission and whining about “engagement” and bitching about (superior) modern automatics and DSGs...and then not buying them. Once the Supra offered a manual, sales dropped.

I want to take issue with the Accord making the list AGAIN, but the new Accord looks SO GOOD and drives SO GOOD and is priced right.

None of these options meet the $35k threshold. The only 4-door car that will give you the thrill of a Mustang (mostly) and the practicality of a family sedan at $35K is the Elantra N.

Toyota HiAce, VW Transporter, Mitsubishi Express, etc. We have transitioned to the Sprinter and Transporter, now we need smaller diesel vans for personal use.

That is surprising, as tire pressure is something that all race cars/truck adjust regularly to fine tune handling. NASCAR setting a tire pressure seems weird to me, but with a spec tire and size it makes sense.

GM-era Saabs. They benefit from having outstanding engineering from Sweden, and typical GM parts availability. I regularly see 9-3s with 150,000, 200,000, even 250,000 miles still going strong. You can get parts dirt cheap from online suppliers, ebay, Craigslist, and of course junkyards. Best of all, spending under
