One of my favorite movies as a kid. I loved how scary it was. The home invasion, the abduction in the car with the grandparents, and the plane escape. It genuinely delivered edge-of-your-seat thrills for a film of it’s time. Also, Dabney Coleman was perfectly cast in a role I consider the best of his career.

I unabashedly loved The Green Inferno. I thought it took his grindhouse style to its depraved logical conclusion, and it made for a sick, twisted fun ride.

Man, I miss the Sports Arena. The only place you were guaranteed to see a fight on the ice AND in the bleachers in the same night. I couldn’t imagine taking my children there now, but I’m glad my parents were OK with it when I was a kid.

Happy for Boots. He’s a true original. One of the most underrated MCs of one of the most underrated hip hop groups of all time. He also found time to practice what he was preaching on record with his lifelong activism. He deserves all the praise he gets.
