Most DV victims never get a dime. Most are also victims of financial abuse and have ruined credit; DV affects 1 out of 4 women but golddiggers go after the one-percent. By those stats, MEN are the golddiggers. If anyone wants to refute that, let’s see the stats.“But but but” isn’t a statistic.

His abuse (or any domestic abuse) is not the result of the victim’s mental illness, it is a result of the abusers inability to empathize and/or control themselves. Strangulation is attempted murder.

Fingers crossed you’re bought by KillRockStars or Bitch.

“Him being violent is so uncharacteristic of the person I’ve known for many years.” This is also typical of abusers, and also pretty typical of serial killers. (Why golly, shucks, not him!) They exude a charismatic persona, and, heck, they can even be funny! Batterer’s Intervention Courses don’t work because they just

This. Just saying just saying to keep out of gray. (I fucking hate just saying.)

The District Attorney presses charges, not victims. The DA may not file if a witness is not cooperative, which Hollywood puts on film as “not pressing charges”.

The name of the store is bad enough. Why don't we change it to Colonial-Imperialism? While we're at it, let's change WhiteHouse/BlackMarket to Institutional Racism!

Yes, yes, and yes. In Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle” he writes about Settlement Workers, the first social workers, who were educated upper-class women who couldn’t get jobs and worked in the Immigration Settlements for free. The Non-Profit system is still making the assumptions women will do the work because there is

They did the same skit with Bruno Mars @Pandora. Wow, SNL, just Wow.

The Kardashians are Mall-Rats a la 90's, which explains her “old look”. You can go to Topanga Hills and see at least one (maybe a Disick). They must have a contract that at least one has to be at a mall and swap out like Olympians.

I do think he was Bamboozled (like the Spike Lee movie) into taking the show. The production/direction of the show is another story. CC should’ve just created a new show with a new name/angle, not try to re-create an old flame.

I really appreciate that! I have been trying to write stories lately about working at a Diner (true stories) that are darkly comical, because that is how I also get through the pain. I used to come home everyday after work at the shelter and it was like “Comedy, stat, or I’m gonna lose my shit.”

It was something along the lines of not believing that he would in seeing people like that in America- kind of like the meme that goes around where there are children in African who say they need to raise money for American children. I have heard similar shock from Latin American friends in the US who are shocked when

I worked at a Domestic Violence shelter with children like him. I have stopped kids from shanking (sp?) their moms, helped them through nervous breakdowns, explained to them why the court gave visitations to their abusive fathers, helped illiterate moms learn to read...

I think what grinds my gears is being a DV victims advocate and that part of his story includes growing up around DV. Alot of focus in DV is the children so they grow up to be empathetic beings, not bullys, abusers, or people who make fun of the disabled.

Let’s see TDS put on a disabled correspondent. Disabled rights are civil rights. (God, I sound s0-don’t say it- so- don’t say it-special. I can poke fun at myself.)

I was walking down Vine in Hollywood, on my way to Trader Joe’s after a long sweaty day working at a DV shelter in the Valley. I had to wear a back brace because I have scoliosis that was never addressed because I only had insurance on and off as a child. I was painfully aware of how horrible I looked, in pain,

non-alcoholic Irish coffee= cuppa, which is tea. I worked in a pub and no one ordered coffee, Irish or otherwise
