What an incredibly invasive and creepy thing to ask. Also creepy-the principal claims there were “parents who are proud of the school for taking a stand to ensure prom is an encouraging, wholesome event.” aka parents who were totally fine with their girls being treated like objects that needed monitoring.

That’s true, and shouldn’t be forgotten. If the race had been based on popular vote, she would be president now. But it was still horrible to see her come so close after facing all the horrible misogynistic attacks.

Our first woman president will be a VP who steps into office because one of these old white men kick off. It’s really depressing that’s where we need to start, but I’m beginning to think there’s no other way.

If by “anyone” do mean more people than nearly every show this site covers? We don’t get streaming ratings but it’s likely that, among regular-coverage shows, only This is Us and TWD have more viewers.

Nicole Beharie was also treated badly by Sleepy Hollow, I am not the right person to say it was racism but that show went from brilliant to messy real fast. And that happened when they started focusing more on Ichabod and Katrina. (Love Tom Mason but his chemistry was with Nicole)

If he dealt with this 17 years ago, maybe it would have been all in the past now. Polanski’s refusal to address it or even make amends is why people are so sick of him. I understand he dealt with horrors both as a child and with Tate being slaughtered, but he also raped a girl and that's just unforgivable.

Why is it assholes like this make the least subtle movies?  This reminds me of that never released Louie CK film that now sounds absolutely dreadful.

I saw an interview with McKinney who said he did that voice in the audition and nobody told him to stop. He kind of believed they thought that was just his voice.

This is a show that people really seem to like and I just kind of shrug because outside of Cheyenne and Mateo there just doesn’t seem to be any chemistry between any of the characters.

It’s to the show’s credit I stuck with this show even after hearing whatever Mark McKinney is doing with his voice for the first time in the pilot. It is so grating. There are not sufficient words to describe how much it bothers me.

My favorite thing is the random bits involving shoppers. These are usually gold.  Also

Well, there’s still Brooklyn 99 and the next season of The Good Place? Wait, what? OK, they’re fucked.

Don’t see how this works unless the new manager and Jonah’s love interest is Natalie Portman, playing herself.

She’s become such an...I dunno, pushover? It’s really frustrating sometimes to watch both her and Jonah just give into other characters’ unreasonable demands. Sometimes? Fine. But it’s nearly every episode now, and we’ve hardly seen her and Jonah interact outside of the occasional bickering, which isn’t endearing.

Probably for the best at this point. They haven’t really figured out what to do with her character since making her the store manager.

i would describe woody allen syndrome...differently.

“That’s my secret, Arcanum Five. I’m always an arsehole.” - Ricky Gervais.

See also: Ricky Gervais. It’s hard to tell where Ricky Gervais the arsehole ends and Ricky Gervais playing an arsehole character begins.

“...would chock it up to his cut-throat negotiation tactics.”

I thought the Jennifer Aniston/Reese Witherspoon was pretty excellent
