My theory is that no one would have watched the show at all without Adam Driver in it. I watched all 4 seasons (or whatever) and was only pulled in by him.

He really seems like an idiot.

I’d guess it would screw up the timing of later showings. 20 minute restart pushes all the showings back 20 minutes.

From now on, I think it’s safe to assume: talented female actress + missing career = sexual harassment/assault. Either didn’t go along and were blackballed or experienced something so damaging it drove them to drink/drugs/mental illness which derailed their careers.

Gossip is all there is until somehow, someway, people find the courage or the culture shifts in a way that it feels okay to speak up. It’s not the solution, but it’s better than nothing.

I think you are projecting a shame that you feel over your behavior onto these men who really don’t feel it at all. And you’re trying to comfort yourself by making things ok for them. Stop being codependent.

I don’t know why Michelle Williams and Kirsten Dunst didn’t end up being best friends after that movie.

Someone at the hair place told me I looked like Chelsea Clinton and I was like, really? Even if true, why would you SAY that?

I was mostly kidding. I figured everyone has read it - it’s accessible. I just remember being really shocked by the final line and I’m glad I read the actual story before reading about it.

The author is saying leave that part in - remove everything around it. It’s saying what she noticed without attributing the reasons to his behavior.

I agree. These are fun, moving books, but don’t take the moral high ground.

The magazine equivalent of clickbait, but she did out that guy for groping her and was pretty fiery in her testimony at trial.
