Hi there Rory.

Easy - Ned’s a hypocrit

They’re saving it for the comments I think. I saw a “Garnet Crustaceon” or something similar.

It makes them feel special. Mostly people can’t stand the idea that we’re really alone in the universe and there’s no higher power that gives a shit. Then the suffering has no meaning.

Also, he looked pretty damned vulnerable in his interview.

This is actually a one-way mirror. One side is a mirror, the other is a window.

And also, if “it’s a fictional character!” is such a an all encompassing excuse why do we care about representation of women in movies? Why is there a Bechdel test if it doesn’t matter what fictional characters do, are or depicted? Why do we care that women are often murdered in movies, play the girlfriend role only,

It’s not hurtful, it’s disrespectful.

Is there a link to this somewhere? I can’t find by googling...

I agree with you entirely. Of course, they weren’t talking about Scarlett, but they were talking about a female role model for want of a better term - a female superhero. And It didn’t seem as though they were making fun of the question at all. And your point re Nick Fury - they would never call that character a

My answer to why did i watch it is always, “Skarsgaard”

I agree completely. I think you can’t understand Hot Fuzz completely without considering the impact of Midsomer Murders. It’s basically the entire inspiration for the village, locals and murders - not Agatha Christie really.

Didn’t Sam direct the first Twilight too? It was watchable. The rest, no so much. I feel like she takes a unique and interesting approach.

He really has (made some terrible movies.) It’s so sad because I love him. Whenever I see or hear about a stinker I just remember him in Children of Men. I don’t know why can’t do more movies like that.

I really hate when actors talk about roles they were offered, auditioned for, or didn’t take. I think it’s disrespectful to the person who ended up with the role - they’re painted as 2nd, 3rd or whatever choice. *cough* Charlie Hunnam...

I love that you’re embarrassed by Aaron Burr. He was the worst.

Frances grows throughout the movie. It’s hard to keep going if you don’t know that. I experience that often with movies these days. The characters are are marginally unlikable in the beginning to leave room for the story.

Can you not discuss this with your wife? She would be a really good person to run this by...

Oh god, you’re probably related and don’t know it. Genetic Sexual Attraction. Be careful!

Mmm, I can tell you don’t live with a cat, because you would never call us cat “owners.” More like roommate/servant.
