I ALMOST went through with the Seagate Barracuda deal... even clicked through Bing and got part-way through Google Checkout (additional $5 off). But then I read some bad reviews, and I got cold feet.

@leolong: In a sense, yes. In a sense, no, because when you call your PC repair person directly and explain the arcane error code you have, he/she may end up using Google to find out what it means. So it *is* a diagnostic tool.
