If women have to restrain their breasts as a matter of social nicety, expected modesty, and to be taken seriously as professionals, I see no reason why men shouldn’t have to restrain their boners in similar fashion, using expensive and restrictive undergarments.

It’s one thing to have a set of beliefs about the healthiest way to have a relationship with one’s body, it's another thing entirely to moralize it. You are not more enlightened because you love your body. So yeah, the way you expressed yourself irritated me.

Your language. You should refer to yourself if that’s who you mean. Speaking in absolutes while referring to “we” and “our” implies that you think your ideas extend beyond yourself, and that vastly oversteps your bounds here if you're going to claim your way is the only ethical way to exist and think of corporeality.

Fine. For you. Don't speak for everyone. Don't put your conflation of body and ethics on me. Bodies, dirt, I see no difference, personally.

And this is why I wash my hands 50 times a day and shower first thing when I come home. *sets self on fire*

I have done more harm to myself trying to force myself into the BS you claim (quite rigidly, which I find a little, I dunno, “protest too much”) is essential. Once I realized that it wasn't a moral failing to mold my body to my will, I felt much less a prisoner in it. Get over it. Body acceptance is not self

Your body isn't who you really are. It's a meat suit. What's the difference if you modify it to suit your needs or wants for it?

Kill with fire the false notion of athenticity in beauty.

You are not a coward. No one is entitled to know your sexual preference. If your parents can't be respectful then they don't get to share that part of who you are. I don't see it as hiding, it's them who are the cowards.

I am that wet wipe person on the airplane. Ugh. So gross.

I was taught that it's very rude to clear plates before the table is done eating and it drives me crazy when servers do it. However I understand that servers usually don't have any say in the matter and would never take out my irritation on them.

And this is not about sympathy. It's about men shouldering some of the responsibility. Which includes physical discomfort, sorry. Deal with it, because women always have.

You really don't seem to understand how contraception for women works.

Yeah , great, you’re real sorry about it, thanks. That doesn’t really mean beans if you aren’t willing to man up and accept your fair share of the unpleasantness associated with contraception. And considering that women already endure a pretty big share of pain in the reproductive organ department, maybe your knee

Yet women are expected to regularly put various chemical substances or foreign objects into our bodies for contraceptive purposes. Oh, and then we’re expected to put another human into our bodies and then let it out in spectacular and painful fashion. So, yeah...no sympathy from this quarter, I’m afraid.

Given the pain regularly associated with having female anatomy, forgive me if I have zero sympathy for dudes scared of a needle poke.

*gasp!* Not church!

I don't know you and I think you look really beautiful in that bikini pic.

All those assholes and their disabilities and special needs their dogs assist with! Assholes!

The problem is that a lot of people don't see this as a deal breaker. Meaning, they don't vote on this issue, so an anti-choice candidate isn't a problem if they're square on other issues the voter considers more important.
