I don’t care, I’m calling it Baby Yoda
These are no longer reviews, just mediocre recaps.
Y’all are gonna make me cry before I go on camera. I love ya. Thanks so much for reading. The TV Club has quickly become my happy place. It’s a joy to write for you guys.
I, too, got a little freaked out when I was reminded of all the good and harmful bacteria in me and surrounding me, especially with flu season upon us.
Perhaps a bit of solid education would help. Flus are viruses, not bacteria. Bacteria are the dominant form of life on the planet; viruses are nuggets of RNA,…
It made the episode so much funnier, otherwise it would’ve been kinda shitty
The episode randomly turning into an extended David Lynch Dune parody is the sort of tack I most enjoy from this show.
Uh... actually, Heather Swanson did appear in the episode, she was in the crowd (near the back-right) when Sheila was giving her big speech.
I guess I should point out that Kilmonger’s scars are inspired by the actual African practice of scarification, specifically from the Surma tribe, and as you can see, there is no such loss of pigmentation.
If the idea is a black Superman, I’m all for it, but would they address the fact that a black man with those powers would scare the shit out of white America?
I honestly wish they hadn't brought him in since he's scum. But oh well you can't help who the creators of a show you like are chummy with.
If they decide to make fun of the toxic fan base (although technically they have....multiple times...including this episode), it’s going to be as intricate as the Vindicators episode. They even did it in Community, I think Harmon just has it in his back pocket.
The heisting of the entire planet was the highlight of the episode for me too, but I laughed the whole way through and greatly enjoyed it. This was my favourite episode of the 3 so far and I’ve really enjoyed each one. At the moment it’s batting at a higher average than Season 3.
I really enjoyed this recap, but, one thing: why do you assume William is gay and not bi? He seems to have a healthy sex life with June (they get pregnant after all and there isn’t any indication she’s unhappy with him in that aspect), and it’s difficult to read you talking about queerness being erased while you…
Lumping The Sting in with the kind of slick, empty-headed stuff like the Ocean’s flicks doesn’t really scan with me. (And I think the fact this episode aims all its barbs at the latter while completely ignoring the former bolsters this view.) I wouldn’t even really call The Sting a “heist movie” — it’s a “con movie”,…
[Beta]: So we lure them into the cave, overpower them, and slit their throats?
Well he married his own daughter.
The summer wind.
And I’m no plumber, but why even have a valve that sends the undrinkable water into the drinkable water?
Personally I think I would have put Skyrim above Dark Souks.
