Nothing against the writers, but I hate ranked lists, because I feel like they have continually reference the movie’s placement in the ranking as they are writing about it, and punch up the praise or critique accordingly.

I get it - this is for clicks in the lead-up to the movie, not really for readers.

I’m sure this list won’t cause any problems among the commentariat, we’ll all just nod moderately, and be about our day.

Easily my favorite MCU movie of the last four years. For as much as it breaks from the first two Thor movies, it still brings Thor’s character arc full circle. The first Thor movie begins with his botched coronation, and Ragnarok ends with him finally accepting the throne.

So... what’s the scene or ‘Marvel Moment’ of this column?

Nah, man...he’s a COOL KID who spends his weekend mornings in the comments section of superhero features on pop culture websites!

Yeah, this is, impressively, the smuggest, most wannabe hipster write-up yet. Homecoming is much closer to being one of the best MCU films than “from the worst.”

Johnny Depp’s career died somewhere around “The Tourist.”

FIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGTTTTTTTTT!!!!*

And his stubbornness; it’s the mystical “I can do this all dayeternity.”

I was hoping it would have been “Dormammu, I’ve come to bargain...” since it’s a rare finale that shows the hero using his wits and ingenuity to defeat an opponent, rather than their power/strength/skill.

I’d also add the end battle in which a major city in un-destroyed, in what must be a meta comment on how a lot of post-Avengers MCU films handled their third acts.

Well darn.

Me too, but I’m really glad that Legion is going to live on.

I’ll miss The Gifted.

Just...just wear the clothes. We know who it is, the costume’s good and fine on its own, there’s no need to Blackface it up. Jesus, why is this so hard?

Rich, entitled a-holes of any race should not be allowed to fake a hate crime and disparage people of any other race without repercussions.

I dunno. Their fight scenes are the most kinetic in the series, and some of the best in “mainstream cinema,” such as it is.

I really just wanted her to tug on her collar a little at that point.

Who is wheeling him around and then leaving him?!

That boy on the wall scene was just horrifying. It’s like the scene from “Aliens” when the Marines find the victims glued to the wall and one of them begs to be killed before screaming and, yes, being set on fire.
