One change I’d like to see for 2019 is a Miata RF-lite of the sorts. Keep the lines and the targa of an RF, but fix the rear section and remove the power folding targa top. A targa top that you have to remove yourself and stow away in a spot in the trunk would be better, imo. I’m not sure of how much the mechanical

Meh, I honestly think each Mazda vehicle leads its class. I can’t think of any better vehicles for class and price.

Hey Toyota/Subaru: Are you listening?

Also: Marc Cohn, Rainy Season. And Tori Amos’ version of Cohen’s Famous Blue Raincoat. Buddy Guy’s Feels Like Rain. Blood, Sweat & Tears: Fire and Rain. Heavy Cloud No Rain by Sting. Here Comes the Rain Again by the Eurythmics. Melody Gardot’s The Rain.

A few weeks ago, I randomly got the idea that I should make a playlist of songs about rain (specifically, songs that have “rain” in the title). That was when I discovered Elvis’s song Kentucky Rain, and thought to myself, “This is a really good song.”

Great article and amazingly, all positive comments so far. I think I’ll just end my internet browsing on this high note today and get some work done and watch Le Mans. Bravo, Charlie. Bravo, Elizabeth. Bravo, Jalopnik.

A great story, and great to hear. I hope movements like this help spread automotive enthusiasm in all forms (weekend driving, driveway wrenching, motorsport viewing) to all people.

Too f-ing many!

Not even a single photo you took of the thing? Seems so lazy to me, and it isn’t just you, its many articles here recently. You could have just made the whole article up. As the saying goes, “Pics or it didn’t happen.”

I just really want to rip off that piece of painter’s tape.

I know as far as tautological grievances go, this is one of the more pedantic, but it sticks out like sore thumb (and obviously it’s not Ryan’s fault, he’s just quoting it.)

I’ve always thought that was what made rally so cool — the cars have to retain the ability to be street driven. They’re closer to stock than “stock cars,” at this point.
