I must be missing that mental capacity. Like I said to the other dude though, a 50-60K DB9 is hard to fault. I would still rather a 911 but I could understand not passing at that price point.

All the Z06/Viper Time Attack are better at are getting better lap times and performance figures. That doesn’t make em better cars. By that logic they are better than the DBS too. But they are terrible street cars.

I would agree with all of that, except for the 3 times I’ve seen a DBS in person. Only car that has come close is an E-type convertible in british racing green. And even then, there’s a world of difference.

This gearbox is 10000000x better than the shitbox POS in the original Vanquish, but yeah would like to have manual in this car.

Aston Martin is about the emotional side of car buying decisions. A Z06/Z07 or a Viper TA is better than that 911 Carrera S PDK in pretty much every regard as well. I really don’t know guys. How much is beauty worth? A 911 Carrera S PDK is a better car in pretty much every regard, and again while this thing is drop dead gorgeous I wouldn’t kick a 991 out of bed. 991 is faster, lower maintenance, more practical, dynamically superior etc etc.

And there’s Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce...

Why is everyone convinced V12 cars are going away? Mercedes stuck with a V12 option on the new S/SL classes and BMW has confirmed there will be a new 760i at some point. Aston’s DB9 replacement was caught testing with a turbo V12 as well.

I’ve had people describe the Cayman (with driver aids off) as “skittish.” I like to think of it as precise. If you are steady and precise with all your inputs, it will reward you. Manhandle it, and it will bite you. Just as it should be ;)
