You can rest assured, the McL F1 even in LM trim or the road-going car, neither were faster than Dauer’s 962. Have much respect for all three of them. Wonderful high speed drivers!

Since high income earning capacity is usually not equally proportional to high driving skill, unless a very well trained driver to begin with, the owner is obviously very smart man having a professional driver showing him the car’s limits to accustom himself to them to confidently drive the car far faster next time,

A French subject, most likely...

Rather doubtful they were trying to set any records. Those are almost always set on a closed course, with only the driver, without a passenger.

Remember, that’s the corner Stefan Bellof died. It’s on everyones mind enering that seemingly easy corner. Albeit recontoured substantially after that tragedy, it’s by no means an easy corner to go through flat out even now. Alfa Romeo surely tried it, with a carbon 124 body, as well...

Saw it advertised to be at Paris Auto Salon one year. Went there __ONLY__ to see it. The body was all Carbon and the interior absolutely awesome. Well worth the effort!

An EB110SS has all four wheels driven, normally... A very nice driver too!

Corrugated sides are structurally tough but also look that way...

The Spyder was also availabe with a windshield (optional and retrofitable) but most, especially the early production examples, had the very unique air deflector installed. It was so effective, when driven at speed in even moderate rain, one still stayed surprisingly dry! The alloy sheet metal box chassis is clearly
