Well, we ain't got no real mountains in Texas, but the Twisted Sisters (FM335, 336, & 337) and HWY 16 in the Texas Hill Country are as good as I've been on.

This, this is cool.

Can someone tell me which old muscle car was it that had a hood mounted speedometer?

I've seen a number of cars done on the cheap by young guys that were indeed cool.  Thais ain't one of them, this is shit.  It's as though he's trying too hard to look as if he doesn't give a fuck.

Drive a $20,000 996 and most people think thatyou are in a $80,000 car.

All of this is true and makes me scratch my head every time I buy "motor oil".

This reminds me of that Detroit executive a few years ago, who after hearing Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry with "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 mi/gal.", reponded with "Yes,

I see no problem with this.  Soap, water, and a little time makes it as good as new.

I'm glad to see that there are still typos in the front page articles, so not everything has changed.

I would think that the best non-911 in 1981 would be the BMW E24/E28 with the 3.5 liter M30 engine.  Plenty of power and the M30 was just getting broken in at 200,000 miles.  More than a few came with a manual.  Just a great car.  The E21, with less power and more weight than a 2002 just doesn't cut it for me.  Not

I've only looked at the new site for a few minutes and, on the surface, like what i see.  That said, I want to bitch about it just so I can be one of the cool kidz.

Cayman R. Next question.

You win.

Apparently, whatever you have done to your Baja Bug Orlove. Because it takes a special kind of asshole to change the QOTD.

I don't get this. I keep my cars original and pristine, yet no one is a bigger asshole than me. Must be doing something wrong...

See, that's why I said 'non-gearheads'. My experience has been that to most people, a Porsche is a Porsche. And yes, I've owned a 996 and have driven 991s. The difference, to non-Porsche people, isn't obvious until they are sided by side.

The designer of this car must have looked at the new C7 and said "Nice, but too subtle and understated."

Yes, the IMS Sentry for $400 is a must at a minimum. Better yet, do the upgraded IMS bearing when you're addressing the inevitable rear main seal leak. I do enjoy the peace of mind having the DI motor in my car with no IMS.

I can't disagree with how great the E36M3 is. I've owned both and each had its own appeal.

I would agree with that, the E46 was a great car.
