Well played. Well played indeed.

Looks like the Craigslist ad was flagged for removal because the price was a little too nice. Like so nice that it's a scam.

I would say that this 'news story' is embarrassing for Jalopnik, but they are obviously beyond that. I've often thought about how nice an auto enthusiast news website would be that wasn't made by millennials for millennials.

Coal powered Mercedes? Great, now we will have to see 40 posts by the greenshirts.

Car? There was a car in that commercial? I thought it was a commercial about ice cream and contraceptives.

Looks like a chassis from a prototype class race car. Awesome.

Done and done.

Cold, dead hands. Steering wheel. Some assembly (and prying) required.

Also, the car in the picture is worth about $4,000,000 with an incredibly complex engine that lasts 20-30,000 miles between extremely expensive rebuilds, so it's not like it would be your daily driver.

Heck of a price if it's really rust free.

First, to answer the question, an emphatic yes. Second, the race 550s came with no top but did include a tonneau. The 'road' 550s included a top, but just barely. In fact, it looks to me like the top is designed to be used only when the car is parked or driven slowly. I guess Porsche really was paying homage to

So, since they have to be tied to the grid to have any kind of real capacity, who pays for that? Tesla?

What do you do if you run out of juice on the way to one of these 'supercharging' stations? Walk to the station and fill up a can with electricity?

I'm guessing those handies wouldn't be free...

Now playing

And that 'photo' looks a lot like an artist's conception.

Neutral: One of my Porsches was built in the Karmann facility, so if the quality is the same now as then, I'm OK with it. Of course, telling Herr Piech how to run his business is pure folly.

So the 550, RS60/61, 904, were not real Porsches?

I hope to never live in a place where I have to street park, so no, Manhattan (or any big city) is not for me. Not even the beautiful Rapide could sway me.

This one looks like a winner today, assuming it's as clean and solid as it looks in the pictures. I always liked the squarebacks and they really look good with a little customization.
