As a motorsports engineer who is always repairing or building wiring harness on race cars, YOU NEVER SOLDER. It just doesn’t happen. You always use a buttsplice and then cover with heatshrink. Solder is much more likely to fail from vibration. You won’t find almost any soldered joints in a motorsports grade wiring

Sure a phone is good for quick stuff, but when my hands get disgusting and I spend all day on the car I would 100% rather have a paper book to turn through. My phone’s battery is shit and pulling it out when working on a car over a long period of time is a recipe for the phone to get nasty and probably dropped. I

you’re absolutely right. I went back and they have since added it back in. I had looked at the beginning of the pandemic.

I wanted to rewatch the 2010 season because it was the first I ever watched and I swear half the races weren't even available, just highlights!

You can run a GT3 team with 4, 7 including drivers. GT4 team is 2 crew. But yes it’s alot of people

COTA was a week before the Corona shit really hit the fan, the Austin release came out mid event, and less than 2500 people were there. I got the email and I didn't read it as encouraging people to test, it's just in their rules they have no limits on testing and they were clarifying that they can't stop private teams

Who the hell used 10mm on a formula car. An3/4/5 exclusively fam. Only 10mm should beon your motor.

You are going to notice less unsprung mass just as much as you are going to notice increased cornering stiffness and the rate change.

The spring rate of the tire matters. This is one of the reasons tire pressure is so important to handling

You might experience 0-60 everyday but a .1 second improvement to that time is going to undetectible on your morning commute. You would probably notice the difference in cornering stiffness more during an emergency lane change than you would that acceleration improvement.

Stop being hypocritical. You can’t disregard the performance benefits of lower profile tires as being track specific only, but then talk about the performance benefits of decreased rotational mass. Thats just as much a track specific performance increase as all the other benefits of low profile tires.

I don’t see anything different between this and an Emrax. Most motors have field weakening? How much torque do these motors produce and at what RPM?

Load cell calibrator? That’s actually not a phrase I’ve ever heard before. Do you mean an instron machine? You think they have space for that in the hauler? Besides, unique suspension/rocket geometries means that it is infact easier to just put a know weight on the car and make sure it correlates to cop/cog.

What a fantastic finish! Thanks for sharing

That's why we are Motorsports engineers and not landscapers. If it's brown and smells like crap, afiak its crap.

Macan turbo S is still the hottest hatch and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Especially if it has PASM

Looking at some car onboard video I think it may have been the bumps on the final sector. They were awful. Donohue was literally airborne multiple times including on the last corner.
