IMDB doesn't reflect the Asian film industry much at all. Why would you have assumed it does? You should really educate yourself on this stuff if you're going to review foreign films.

Yes! I loved that book, and gave it to my nieces. If any of you haven't encountered it, you should check out their (slim) Book of Trolls, as well. It's incredibly strange and wonderful.

Apparently my research skills are abysmal, because I just cannot find their declaration that they're through. Dare I ask you to help a sister out with a link?

They never officially called it quits, correct? I know they kept telling people to shut up about the books, and they were ultimately Not Here for so much rape as a plot device, especially where visuals of a kid were involved. But did they actually say they're done? I'm both in denial because I miss their recaps and

Yeah, she was warned she wouldn't live 'til morning, skipped out on the dinner, gave Shay her blessing – I agree that she was anticipating the worst, and that's a way to justify her reaction.

I'm thinking the same thing!

Oh, good! He's a fantastic actor. I'm so glad he's got a nice gig.

I so wanted it to be Scott (or Shay, obvs). Either would have been absolutely perfect given the events of season 3, and Delphine's response when she saw the shooter – a little laugh, like "fucking of course." How did her reaction fit at all for a guy none of them knew?

That mention of Beth's father cracked my heart open.

Yes!

You may know this, it's old news, but I just learned that Cobie Smulders dealt with ovarian cancer beginning in season 3 and underwent multiple surgeries over the course of two years. How on earth did she pull it off?

I burst out laughing when Hannah ran into the trees – it was like a downmarket version of the climax of The Conformist.

My experience with shows like this is that often, each performer has an arc that lasts for the duration of the performance, and an audience member chooses how much of it they wish to see. Since this one built toward Kitty's murder and the tenants' reactions, I'm pretty sure that was the case with this show. In terms

Which was also a great callback to episode 1 of the whole series, when Marnie told Hannah she had begun to recoil from Charlie's touch.

Agreed. Desi is such a recognizable New York type, and Moss-Bachrach plays the shit out of it.

I'll bet that's because it's used in the climax of The Office.

I loved that choice, especially for Adam and Jessa. They've so often used sex with ill-suited partners for validation and escape. In retrospect it feels inevitable that they would be painfully self-aware with someone they care about and know could be a great fit for them.

I thought that was a significant exchange, too. It seemed to be there to highlight that the sex wasn't what he anticipated.

Yes! This omission is making me nuts.

Rice to Riches is AMAZING, tho.
