I mostly disagree. It can occasionally serve a purpose, as you stated, but most often it highlights a bunch of stories in such a way to incite anger/confirm beliefs in like minded readers. It constantly uses out of context cropped photos and rewrites headlines. Its a very targeted aggregator on most of its "links."
