To sum up the appeal of the show, they once featured Willie Nelson (as himself). The one person that stoners and old people agree on.

Eddie Murphy never pushed his assistant to beat him up and taser him. At least not that I know of….
The remaining alive members of the Dead Boys would like you to consider a song of theirs as the next Arby's theme song
And David Bowie could have sued James Brown.
Four Non Blondes should have been sued by Bobby McFerrin.
That's really just one note. Its not so much of a lift of the melody as it is the rhythm. But yeah its nearly identical. But no one accused the Strokes of stealing things….
I don't think it takes anything away from what they actually released but it does demystify them a bit when you hear everything that they stole from. People always say that everyone does it, but they seemed to be a bit more aggressive about it. Dazed and Confused, for example, is just flat out someone else's song…
What class did this come up in? And yeah, they stole an incredible amount of stuff. Just listen to the Small Faces' version of You Need Loving (particularly the end).
Lady, he's putting my kids through college
No I'm pretty sure that was way after he left.
I don't think he's really supposed to be "laugh at" funny as a character.
The googles do nothing
Duffman says a lot of things
Even stranger both Father Ted and Third Rock? How is that crossover appreciation even possible?
Even Harrison hated Only a Northern Song. He apparently realized how terrible it was while they were recording it.
Plastic Ono Band is far and away his best solo album and I think the best solo album any of them put out. All Things Must Pass has a lot more variety and scope but I simply prefer Lennon's songwriting and singing.
Apparently McCartney would spend about an hour a day rehearsing his vocals for Oh Darling while they were recording Abbey Road. Which Lennon hated. I wonder if his comment isn't a slight dig at McCartney for that reason.
Agree about the Harrison nonsense. Its almost as bad as people who "hate" the Beatles. John was much less in control of his gifts than Paul but I always find the rough edges of his songs to be a bit more interesting. However, without Paul, none of it would have been as fleshed out (or created at all), especially in…
Yes really. I loved Revolution in the Head and I did read it straight through (and a number of subsequent times). But I really enjoyed Emerick's book as well. I've read countless books about the Beatles (including a number of terrible books written while they were still an ongoing band) and I thought that Emerick's…
You should read Geoff Emerick's book. Its full of great specific stories about most of their recordings. Revolution in the Head does this too but its a bit drier and not as easy to read like a book.
