@Koztah: It does add another piece of software to the mix that needs to be prioritized among AI, Graphics, sound processing, etc, even the most taxing 360 games leave the 10-15% necessary according to the earlier links to technradar.com.

@Madge Gristle: Practically every artist that releases videos in which they appear scantily clad throwing around grade-school euphemisms for penis are (at least trying to be) sex symbols. Why? Because sex sells when your lyrics have little to no other merit.

@SuperLaxative: But you're both missing the point. Yes, RRoD was a hardware issue, which is precisely why it was a huge media talking-point. Reducing cost is assuredly the reason for eliminating the hardware solution, but it carries the advantage of being patchable instead of demanding hands-on repair. A poorly

@Deez: I think you're making a lot of dangerous assumptions. MS certainly can't afford to effect the quality of it's AAA stable. If they thought for a minute that it would jeopardize the graphicswhore war with Sony, they'd keep the $10 chip and deal with a higher MSRP.

@Koztah: Relying on a software solution does not implicitly mean impaired performance. Efficient software could certainly work within the available overhead. Natal also seems posed at casual gaming, which would generally leave plenty of overhead for a Natal software solution.

@Knoxximus ver. 5.66: replacing a hardware solution with a software one means an upgradable, repairable unit. Imaging how much we'd be talking about the RRoD if it were a software/firmware issue?

@sevaeLdaeD: Hmm. I like that. Chopperesque with suspension. Probably more than I make in a decade, tho.

Looks uncomfortable. I'd like to try one out, maybe adjusting it to my specific hand size/shape would alleviate those concerns, but my hand fits so well on my deathadder, like cupping a perfectly sized breast. (probably because I shopped for mice for a hella long time to find the best fit and feel)

@Madge Gristle: Artful lyricists tell you a story, they don't need a companion booklet.

@Madge Gristle: Everyone can sing with a good producer, and her lyrics are trite and sophomoric. If any of my opinions at any time in my life have ever been closer to fact, I must've been totally wasted at the time, because I surely can't recall.

What this really needs is to be on a tablet over a layer of e-paper. One display, both active OLED and passive e-paper = total win.

Price cut the standard model to $149 . . . aaaaaand go.

Holy shit. I want one so hard.

@mrpibb79: If that plasma cutter can dismember other avatars, SOLD.

If I could get mask, suit and Ishimura for 100 space dollars, I'd be all over it. But $5? Nah. Pass.

Nova is fun stuff, Hook Champ is a great platformer that controls very well on the device, and Words With Friends is an awesome scrabble clone with push notifications.
