I'm liking windows8 for gaming myself. I use Start8 to get rid of Metro completely. faster Windows7. No issues at least with recent games. some early ones were a headache.

My crashes are really rare now. It's amazing what a few server patches can do.

True! Hell, I never needed windows 7 (My i7 pc came from Cyberpower with Vista), but did just pick up Wind. 7 and the install was super easy. Got it mainly because ATI no longer releases driver updates for Vista and it was needed for BF4.

Often, it IS the poor game company's fault. Games that have issues and can't run on current drivers of a particular video card or even an entire line of video cards, games in which the servers are not at all set up to handle the player base, games that just have bugs that should never have made it past QA.

I think people need to see past its crashes (which are horrible) and see the beautiful game underneath. BF4 is worth of a Destructoid rating of at least 7 or 8 (which for them is well above average)

Not having any crashing myself.. not at all can play all day with no issues.. this is the issue with PCs. most people just have no clue how to maintain their PCs. mem leaks.. malware.. bad drivers.. and the poor game company always takes the blame for people and their garbage ridden PCs.

I miss the days where a FPS was defined by its single-player campaign. People are complaining that this review does not focus on the multiplayer, ostensibly the reason the game was coded in the first place (you folks are not wrong!).
