For some reason, all I can picture is Maddy playing Ivy as Cecelia sits nearby arms crossed all frowny-faced and rolling her eyes while muttering about unrealistic proportions and sexism.

But those men would have differing perspectives to contribute that would allow for a healthy discussion rather than a pointless circlejerk. Women aren’t weak and cowardly like you seem to think, they don’t need to be babied, just not treated like shit.

Yes, but they are not women, so it’s not relevant.

Oh how soon you forget how women fighters in Battlefield 1 ruined the game’s realism.

No, this is *literally* ethics in games journalism. If a journalist has a personal connection to a story, it is essential that that connection is open and transparent.

This is going to sound really stupid but I’m being genuine here: Don’t let a toxic fandom prevent you from being a fan.

Reading this article is like getting whiplash on a rollercoaster... I 100% want equality between sexes. I don’t want ‘feminism’ to be a bad word. I don’t want baby boys aborted anymore than baby girls (I’m against abortion in general, to be completely honest). I want women to be able to show support for feminism

I wouldn’t say that at all. You might as well say that ‘people who play football’ enjoy the game, for pay or otherwise, while ‘football players’ are rich, entitled assholes who abuse their wives and regularly get into legal trouble. You might as well say that people who write are separate from authors, who are all

Thank you, Self-Appointed Kinja Cop. Please stop. We are (mostly?) capable of critical thinking and don’t need to be told what to think about other people’s opinions, trollish or not.

People are once again creating an issue where none exist.

As a black guy who genuinely loves the inclusiveness of Overwatch character designs I do have to agree, to put down blizzards character designs as lazy just because two white girls have somewhat similar faces (while having completely different silhouettes, abilities and characterization) is ridiculous.

oh good, this same old lazy cartoon again...

Since we’re talking about things that suck and no one should have to watch...
