OK. I feel for everyone that had to endure all of that, but I’m sorry: I have been laughing non-stop for 5 minutes after having read this. Please understand that I get that it isn’t funny.

Yeah that’s a valid complaint. I’m sure the reason One Piece is so slow since then is due to Toei finally realizing what a cash cow they had in this anime. So they pad out the episodes 1:1 with the manga, add in a bunch of filler segments, and reduce the production values to control cost even more - just like they did…
