Not trying to be contrary, just to point out some of the potential health hazards of using ozone to purify a room (and especially since the OP mentioned kids in the equation)

Once had a friend accidentally knock her glass of red wine over... right onto me! My shirt (a bold pattern on a white background) took most of the spill directly.
I just asked the waitress for a glass of seltzer water and some extra napkins, blotted as much of it as I could, but kept wetting the stain with the seltzer…
Oh no, I agree - think I was being too general. I work in a 100+ people, high-volume firm so digital is the way to go. Don't get me wrong, we have room on our (cubicle) desks to draw, but we really don't do it here. :)
Like I said, occasionally we draw but nothing like what you've mentioned. It's a bit of a lost art…
I work in architecture, and my desk looks suspiciously like a cubicle right now. Think I need some velvet curtains and a bowl of lemons, because you know... when life gives you lemons [you put them in a bowl].
Nah, we don't really draw much anymore. It's not fun, but it's the way the business goes... in my office, any sketching is done on whiteboards or in conference rooms, albeit rarely. And our reference materials are in a main library, so that the whole office can use them. What I'd like to know: where is the phone?
I love a good corded drill (so much lighter!), but for the way I use them cordless is just more practical. Maybe I just need to do more pushups. :)
My husband has a cordless plunge saw that he loves - it's smaller and easier to handle, he used it a lot during our last demo & construction project. He could just grab it…

ALSO excellent for bragging rights!!
I actually really like this reply - it's not like most people technically stop working when they're retired (which, I think is where the anger/hostility/jealousy comes from - most people assume there is no work in retirement)
"I used to/Previously I ____, now I _____."
No worries! It's easy to misconstrue things on the interwebs. Part of my snappy reply comes from being the wife on a husband and wife "we love crazy house projects" team so I extra strive for perfection (because handy ladies gotta represent).
I could tell you were venting after rereading it a few times - I actually had…
Well, I said I was comfortable with it, not half-assing everything... and I certainly never claimed I was an expert. Not sure if you were directing those remarks at me or the internet.
Part of the reason I prefer to do my own work is because I can do my research and make sure it's done the RIGHT way from the get-go,…
That's true! We've modified load-bearing walls before and even though we know what we're doing I will still say it can be nerve-wracking. If we didn't understand how a house's structure works in general (or had the tools/experience to figure out how that particular house's structure worked - might be different than…
I wouldn't really want to drink that compressed air spray-over. That seems like asking for health problems. I can't imagine anyone would be THIS desperate for a cold drink (and hates ice this much)
And coming from experience: exploded glass quickly and easily slices through skin, muscle, nerves, and tendons but leaves…
In our small town it's fairly quick process and scheduling the inspections is easy (and with a neighbor who'll call the town on us if he thinks we DON'T have a permit, it's worth it!)
We freaked out a few weeks ago when we thought our permit was up a year after we got it - husband went to town hall and they said "Oh,…
We take most of your points into account. I also like to think "If we DIY, can we afford better tiles/trim/furniture/finishes/decor/whatever, or would that saved money go toward something else?" and we both make written financial (like, we go to Big Blue and Big Orange and write down and compare prices on components)…
I haven't done it myself personally, but our electrician friend came over and added one to keep the first floor from being all on one circuit. He showed us how to do it as he was working. But our friend was very careful to tell us if we don't know what we're doing once the cover comes off the box, then it's best to…
I bought the mini Kreg Jig a while ago to do a console table project as well.
I bought it because it was the cheapest! But I am going to say that it was a tiny bit difficult to figure out how exactly to place that particular model of the jig - there are no guidelines or anything, just an instructions sheet with…
I kind of figured that was the case - not too familiar with residential requirements (but getting there!)
I work in commercial construction and we need permits for everything (and for good reason!) so I'm very used to "doing work on that? Going to need a permit!"
Or here's one - how about my old dentist making me fill out a "success story" form and showing me others' forms and constantly asking me if there was "anything I'd like to improve on my smile" on each visit? No I don't want your teeth whitening/veneers/whatever. Just use your fancy tooth laser and let me go home.
This is all really good advice!
