For any item attached with multiple bolts, always loosen and tighten bolts in small increments, in crisscross patterns. When reinstalling, insert and hand thread all bolts loosely to ensure they are properly threaded before wrench tightening.
The hole isn’t a thing, it is the lack of a thing. The hole can neither be heated nor cooled (I’m ignoring the air in the hole, as that doesn’t impact the fitment issue). Only the metal surrounded the hole can be heated.
nope, the entire metal piece expands, making the bore you want to put the bearing into larger. it’s how I change the crankshaft ball bearings in my R/C glow engines; heat the engine block in an oven, freeze the bearings, and they slip right in.

It’s the difference between holding a 10 lbs weight to your chest and tryinging to hold it with your arm extended and elbow locked. You are creating a lever that increases the force applied to the hub, wheel bearing, and lug nuts/studs. Every impact will exert more force on the hub, causing the wheel bearings to wear…
Actually, BMW and Merc both made little roadsters because of the Miata. Not even joking.
