That's a very open-ended question! How would I possibly find out who wouldn't have done that? Is there a database somewhere which explains the choices everybody would make in such hypothetical scenarios?

I could write a bit about what I perceive the motivations of those characters to be, but I doubt if it would be anything you might not have already surmised.
I suppose my frustration is that hardly anybody explains their criteria of quality. So it feels like this more says something vague about their own personal needs than it does the media in question.

It's just like if all the other shows on television were just focusing on the sentience of humans. How long is that going to be "clever"?
How does it not make sense now? I approach it as I do real life. I enjoy it unfolding a little at a time, without expecting some contrivance to conveniently spoon feed me The Authoritative Perspective. I see it as being no more mysterious than everyday life.
Who can say? I am not aware of any statistics which indicate how many people think similarly, nor who they may be.

Why would you assume that your guesses could be "wrong"? It seems to be simply a case of the viewer's speculation making up their own story. Otherwise, one can trust those who make the series to tell theirs. What I don't understand is the motivation behind guessing in the first place.
