I’d have replaced secret of evermore with Alundra. one of those first gen games that doesn’t get quite the love other working designs releases did.

The question is whether it will be matchmaking or party play. If its the former, great but not much value beyond making it easier to find a game with random players. The latter would be amazing since you still cant do that between PS4 and PC.

I really would love to nominate the following for your list:

Does Sony have the capability to match MS’s Server offering? I just wonder how much of the instability of the servers is due to unpredicted demand, and how much of it is just what Sony is able to offer. Not sure if having the game on xbox would have given them access to Azure.

And no Christie in sight..... profound sadness

The dig should really be higher :(

what’s the reference?

I always enjoyed EGM’s approach to reviews. As someone that read every issue since very early into their existence, it was fun to get to know the reviewers preferences and weighing reviews based on the voice you most related to.

They don’t suddenly make it easy to swap the increasingly limiting internal 500GB drives that hold all those games that everyone loves having to install, but they start selling units with 1TB drives (and support the addition of external hard drives).

Was thinking more that I’d like to get Totillo’s perspective on the topic, less that they need to justify it. Totillo has a ton of experience and great perspective, and it would be great since Fallout isnt the only title this weird grade inflation followed by endless deconstruction of faults happens to.

Every time a bethesda title comes out, theres generally waves of these “all the things that suck about the game” across most sites, and yet simultaneously you get 10/10, best yet.

Looks a bit like Fulgore from KI, would have been a fun cross promotion for xbox one.

spoiler much?

nope, the original snes SoM was set to be a launch title for the SNES CD, but late in development the hardware was cancelled so they had to cut a ton of content, including branching storylines, multiple endings, animations, areas, and bosses.

Secret of Mana started as a snes cd title. When the hardware fell apart, it was ported to cartridge and they had to cut a bunch of content to get it to fit. Its part of why so many of the final weapon orbs were relegated to random drops in the final area.

now if someone can track down a working image of the original nintendo CD secret of mana and upload a playthrough, I can die happy.

Can’t say specialized racing controller without invoking the negcon

I wonder why we’re getting data mining articles for these games, but not a peep on all the stuff thats come out of the SF5 beta. With SF news it seems Kotaku is trying to continue to play up the mystery of Ono’s teases even though we already know who the last character is and who the six DLC characters for next year

I miss NFS/Bunrout games with actual tracks. Hope they revisit that someday, never enjoyed open world racing games.

Odama over Killer 7.... color me surprised. For weird japanese games on the gamecube, nothing really tops Killer 7 in my book. Suda51’s best work.
