Screaming "I AM MAGNETO, MASTER OF MAGNETS"
Also a magnificent way to judge your lifestyle.
Okay, I'll play this stupid game.
From the Arstechnica summary:The court noted that if it accepted Oracle's argument, then "suppliers would merely have to call the contract a ‘license’ rather than a ‘sale’ in order to circumvent the rule of exhaustion and divest it of all scope."
Sorry, but Bayonetta was truly cookie-cutter in every way that mattered. An oversexed Devil May Cry with cartoonish... well, everything. But nothing fresh. Everything you saw in that game was exactly what you expected to see. Up to and including the ludicrous sexism.
I understand why there is a disparity between pure creativity/originality and expected marketability in large-scale games, but why is there SUCH a gap, and in every single possible level of a game? Take any of the God of War iterations, or something godawful like Bayonetta: why isn't there anything truly unexpected…
Most backers are giving "funding" in exchange for a free download of the series. Consider it an advance payment of the final product. Kickstarter isn't free money, unless you decide to fund one of the "free" pledge levels.
The algorithm is based on mystery measurements, but at least one of the big weights is whether or not an editor replies. Editors carry a lot of weight in the new system, so their comments will generally be on top.
So you're whining that I'm trying to explore the metaphor, then posting a metaphor of your own? Get real. Quit being ridiculous.
Knowing this, Octodad becomes a different game. I see a father trying his hardest to do right by his family, but faltering even with the simplest things. It's not exactly his fault. Circumstances would have it that he's a freaking octopus.
Judging by the new system:
I know it's a job requirement to say that, but you have to know that that's so transaprenty false that we all understand how embarrassed you must be. It's not just a swap of direction, it's a trade in for vastly less usability, density of information and convenience. A hundred clicks replaces zero clicks. It's…
Everyone complained about the redesign, but it was basically just rearranging the food on your plate. It didn't make a difference.
So it's not even a pervasive culture of ignorance of the world at large (which americans are famous for), it's just that these particular people are stupid boobs? Good to know. Way to go, Hirezstudios. Way to wave that white flag of ignorant social privilege while surrounded by the multicultural progressive metropolis…
Well howdy. Taking something millions of people respect and love, adding huge tits onto it and making it fight? How could that NOT be just totally super awesome??
I need to feel like playing something is congruent with cherishing it, and that went doubly so for the finale to a franchise that has helped define me as a ‘gamer.' Like my own way of paying respect to what the game meant to me or something. Like a digital version of the slow food movement.
making it a real challenge to properly shake so it dissolves thoroughly
The biggest problem is one of confirmation bias
Oh I understand WHERE the charges come from, as Rogers is very kind to explain it to me post-hoc. But they are predatory and way too expensive. For example, when I changed numbers halfway through a month and they split my maximum minutes in half and applied half to each, they don't actually split your USED minutes in…
