I understand completely and I agree the writing is weak. But sometimes I enjoy a smutty romance novel and this series was one of my guilty pleasures. I go on reading tangents from time to time, whether it's history, literature or smut, I never know until it pops up.

I think that was one of the things I hated the most about the ending was the idea that people can't grow and change. According to the book we should only be with those people who are just like us and if you don't only pain and suffering will follow.

The last three books have been horrible and therefore I am thankful the show has diverged from those story lines. The final book of the series was horrendous and I doubt if I read another book by Charlaine Harris. Sorry for the diatribe, I wish I could post the gif of Madeline Khan from Clue.
