The issue isn’t so much geography as it is strength of schedule for all of the teams. BYU/Cinci/Boise would be great on field additions to the conference. The problem is when you split the conference in half you aren’t playing a round robin schedule any more.

Why does the Big 12 need a championship game? It makes sense if your conference has 12 or more teams, but otherwise its just a cash grab. The same as its always been. I agree with you pertaining to the 8 team playoff. We’re leaving so much good football on the table that can be played with an expansion of the playoff that its ridiculous.
