I’d go with “tragic”

I agree this is fine but isn’t it hilarious how “leftist liberal” has become a shorthand for “I am capable of experiencing compassion and empathy”?

Always a good read every time this talentless clown shows up.

It reminds me of how people have been talking about video games for years. Either you loved the Super Nintendo or the Mega Drive, and the other was pure evil. Now those sorts of grade school console arguments have become the standard form of discussing any sort of entertainment media. I feel the rise of social media

I hate how every time I go to an Applebee’s, former NASCAR drivers and their fathers are always being obnoxious and getting kicked out

I travel a lot to shithole towns and sometimes the only restaurant open past 8 pm is Applebees. It’s not great but I just shrug and go with it. Food that’s bland and warm and consistent coast to coast.

Funny you mention it, because I am pretty sure this remake was conceived the very exact minute Murphy unleashed his Heathers wannabes Channels on us.

The Hateful Eight was the movie that finally made me understand every one of peoples’ criticisms of Tarantino

Hot take/dementia alert: The Quick and the Dead is Sam Raimi’s second best movie, after A Simple Plan. It’s pure kinetic pulp bliss.

If Dicaprio should’ve won an oscar anytime it should’ve been for D’Jango or The Departed.

Actually, @FilthFlarnFilth is right in a roundabout way—*NSync’s “Bye Bye Bye” was about none other than, you guessed it, Frank Stallone

You’re literally creating the news story, not reporting it, at that point. There’s a difference.

I found the conversation between the ghosts heartbreaking:

Yeah, I generally think that the fringe elements should get reported on from time to time, lest people forget they exist, but this seemed like an example of something that could have been safely ignored.

Measured heads prevail in a news cycle that finds men’s rights activists celebrating a butchered, illogical cut of Star Wars: The Last Jedi simply because all of the women have been removed.

Saw it. Liked it. Not itching to watch it again, but it’s a memorable experience.

I saw it. I think it’s included on Amazon Prime right now. I really liked it, but didn’t love it. However, the infamous pie scene was possibly my favorite part of the film. That’s a really brilliant scene when it comes to depicting despair, IMHO, and the length of it is very important to it. I was almost as moved by

Best Director is the shammiest of The Oscars; Costner and Eastwood won it, while Kubrick, Hitchcock, Welles, Kurosawa, Lynch, Cronenberg, Gilliam, S. Lee, PT Anderson, Goddard, and a ton of other amazing talents never won it.

Right... Because rape investigations are so unimpeachable and rich, white celebrities never get away with committing heinous crimes. What possible reason would Dylan Farrow have for lying about her father abusing her as a child?
