I’m more shocked that enough people watch this stuff that they can afford to pay anyone, let alone two people

Just once, it would be nice to see an end of the year film list and be able to say I’ve at least had a chance to see all those films. It’s almost getting to be like the theatre where only the very rich or those with special privileges get the opportunity to actually view certain kinds of films now. I’m really looking

Fucking lawsuits, how do they work?

It’s not their fault. They can’t just cut their hair and put on a sweatshirt and take off their grease paint and become someone that the cops don’t give a shit about. It’s not a choice.

There was a great post from someone (wish I could remember who) when Stewart retired. They said that part of his being ready to call it quits had to be how worn down he was from holding up a mirror to Medusa every night and having her yell “libtard!” instead of turning to stone.

Huh. So this is the first and last I’ve heard about this show.

The internet has been used to amplify.......questionable opinions since its inception, something I always considered part of the price for a free society. But its part in the rise of Trump and the ensuing consequences is the first time I have actively wished for the ability to make the internet go away.

I for one can’t wait to see Christopher Plummer in Deadpool 2.

Case number #5432 for the “is anyone really surprised?” file.

(Dis)Honourable mention goes to Kinja.

Naturally it’s worse. However, the culture of reducing women to bodies that can be handled at whim is one of the pins holding up the entire structure of harassment and rape in general. It’s all about power. All of it. When Damon gets reductive it helps nothing. It also sounds like he’s making excuses for the behavior.

I’d say this
1) clearly yes, it is worse, no one is arguing otherwise
2) but is still bad, like beating someone is bad but less bad than murder but still bad, and people with a history of non-murder violence (sometimes called “assault”) are still untrustworthy as are folks with a history of non-rape sex crimes

Hey now, he’s made a pretty good Harry Mudd and he was great in Hesher.

They tried the Office without Steve Carell. It sucked. So maybe don’t try it again?

I can get behind the polka dot elephant and the swimming parrot and the Charlie in the Box - heck, I could LOVE some of them. But the train with square wheels? Sorry, but somebody should have caught that abomination before it saw the light of day.

If Twitter banned Trump, he would implode, therefore, I say do it.

Spoilers from the book:

The Oceans Trilogy was a core moment of my childhood, and being a fan of something is the only way I define myself. How dare they defile my memories!

So you want a stereotypical guys movie not a stereotypical chick flick?

Awkwawhatnow?
