Seems like the opponents were doing the fan ass-kicking.

US is in the middle, not the start.
Dumb sports guy question here: is it worth it if none of those pitches were strikes? (aside from making a followed change-up more drastic)
another team hit by the Maddon glitch
Even then, it’s still up in the air
I still don’t understand how Deadspin failed to jump all over this.
So is his Prince Albert
Did Martin get the puck with his stick? That could be why the refs were hesitant. It’s hard to tell from that video, but the puck does go backwards from Trochek
you can’t write that and not divulge what happened. I demand details!
1. The rats were not just a goal celebration. As someone who actually watched the ‘96 Panthers run, I can confirm that fans tossed them in unpleasant situations too.
2. The octopus comes out during games. Have you not seen the Detroit arena manager shovel one off the ice and spin it around like a pizza?
And this is all…
Actually, I do know hockey, and I did read the article. The article’s argument was that throwing things on the ice was bad, regardless of the intent behind it.
How is this different than Florida’s Rats or Detroit’s Octopus? Fans throwing objects on to the ice to voice their frustration is an age-old tradition. If they were disappointed in the product they paid mightily for, let them show their anger. Snider would’ve been proud.
what was the point of this?
This is in reference to your other MLB book. How much of a dick is Bud Selig? I mean, he comes across like a huge dick.
What if the teams stage a walkout in the finals and nobody wins? Does he win?
I thought this was a joke about his defense. I am terrible.
I’ve heard that this book is just a glorified ad for his DVDS, programs, and classes. How is the actual teaching material in the book?
Alberta Flag
Just make second base bigger. Done.
This is more about appeasing the Referees union. The NHL issues the 20 games, and if it is appealed (the 2nd time) it is reduced by someone other than the NHL. This way the NHL remains visually protective of the reps.
