A pastor in California is part of a faction of Christians upset about Octavia Spencer’s role as God in the movie adaptation of William P. Young’s controversial 2007 novel The Shack. Spencer is black, you see, and God is a white man.

Really don’t think they’re making him loveable at all. They have done that in the past with other political figures, but I think that for Trump, they’re pretty unflinchingly mocking him and pointing out some very dangerous things...especially to the public who don’t pay attention to the real news.
