Yeah totally I guess I misunderstood. Yeah Mezger Turbo engine is a good example like the LS. Its a great bulletproof drivetrain for a performance engine but yeah to keep everything in peak performance of course you will need some maintenance which can be costly.

While I agree in some cases with what you are saying I don’t think its true for the 7.3 or all so called “bulletproof” engines (like the Jeep 4.0 or the V8 in the land cruiser/LS/LX). These true bulletproof engines seriously will go 500k miles with just oil changes. And yes it is a function of being understressed.

Then you clearly don’t know the issues with the S55. The S58 is a very worthy upgrade and the front bumper a relatively minor thing to fix.
