That’s all consoles have ever been since they first came to market. The console offers something different than a pc. It’s more user friendly, easier to use, and has significantly less issues and is much cheaper than a gaming PC. Any PC that costs the same as a ps4 is pointless.

How the hell did you come to that conclusion?? Just because they say a new hardware ps4 will support 4k does not in anyway say you NEED it to play games. That’s fucking retarded. They would never cannibalize their userbase.

Traditionally, console hardware usually loses the company money the first few years. It takes a few years and hardware iterations to make them profitable.

If this is real, I hope it has support for 4k blu rays. Be a huge opportunity to push that format just like Playstation did for DVDs and regular Blu rays.
