Also I am not so sure if a human life is worth ANY amount of puppies. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more perfect example of pure, undistilled GOOD in the world, than a wonderful loving dog. They truly are wonderful remarkable animals and deserve to be treated well.
So basically unless they can put forward a “This Fixes Every Problem” Bill they shouldn’t bother fixing anything.
I’m a shelter worker (actual brick-and mortar one), so I know, believe me.
And I agree with that sentiment. I think it’s a lot more complicated, because if you outlaw clothing (which, clothing is a necessity) from sweatshops, suddenly clothing becomes a lot more expensive. Umm, false equivalency much?
Spoiler alert: responsible breeders don’t sell their puppies to puppy stores. A pet store puppy is a puppy mill puppy.
Maybe there should be a tax on pedigree animals? That will dissuade all these celebs buying some niche (and likely deformed) breed and causing a fucking cottage industry to erupt of breeding the darn thing. If there’s one thing’s that scares the shit out of rich people it’s the idea of having to part with any amount…

Re: The Gwyneth Paltrow story, it strikes me that Brad Pitt is the first guy who comes out of this looking like he took a stand when he heard of something happening. Interesting to see he was also quick about confirming this story (through his “people”), as opposed to other actors who are denying up and down that they…
